It has been a bit, since I wrote a book review for y'all. I am here today with one, and I think it is one you will love. Now, I will state upfront, because I know sometimes people have certain genres/plots they dislike, that if you are not into MFM romance novels, than this may not be for you. However, I would always like to say.... They are definitely not my favorite, by any means, and I absolutely loved this book.
This is an Erotic Suspense novel. So, you will get your steamy romance, with a huge side of suspense, and a nice mix of plot twists and turns. This is not just a straight up romance. I will also add, that the ending does tie up nicely, but it also leaves you hanging. So, I would definitely plan on reading the second book in this duet, once it is released, if I were you. I say this, because I do know some people who dislike series/duets/trilogies. So, yes, this book could definitely satisfy you, if you are one of those people, but I also think you will be left NEEDING to read the second book.
This book is very well written. Excellent character development, and excellent plot development. As I mentioned, the plot is suspenseful, and it twists and turns. It will definitely keep your interest, and you will be trying to guess all the mysteries/unknowns as you go. If you are like me, you will figure some of it, but once all is revealed, it will be so much more than you could have imagined.
Our female lead, Gia, is awesome. She is smart, funny, strong, and successful. She is also at a starting over point. She recently divorced a politician, and as you may imagine, in hopes of keeping up appearances, he attaches conditions to the divorce. One of those conditions, is that she is not allowed to publicly date anyone, until after the next election ends. On one hand, that is annoying, but on the other, it is what sets her up to meet our two male leads.
She is directed to The Agency, which is a high end matchmaking service. It is really just what she needs, so it seems, since she is looking for successful man, to be at her side, and share her successes with, but she also needs discretion, thanks to her divorce terms. So, that is how she ends up meeting Dane and Elliot, our two male leads.
I think as you read the book, you will find yourself liking her with each of the guys. I definitely can see why this was written into an MFM. The characters were written perfectly for one another. Though, admittedly, it will be hard to fall completely gaga for the men, because there is so much going on, that we do not know, that it is kind of hard to fully feel they are perfect for her. On one hand, you will want more for Gia, and on the other hand, you will want her to have exactly who she has.
It is just really a story that will bring on a wonderfully intriguing ride. I think the more that is revealed, the more you will love the book. It just keeps getting better, the more you read. Very well written, on all levels. This was my first book by this author, but it absolutely will not be my last. She has absolutely won me over. Plus, I have to read the second book in this Duet. I need to know EVERYTHING.
So, if you love your romance to be delivered within an actual plot, that is beyond just romance, than this is absolutely the book for you! I highly recommend it.
