Misadventures with the Boss #BookReview

Today, I am giving you my review of the latest release in the Misadventures Series, Misadventures with the Boss by Kendall Ryan. Remember how I told y'all that this series was awesome, and every book was great so far, and that y'all should so go get the books and read  them?! Well, I hate to repeat myself, but this is an awesome series and y'all need to read them. All of them. It does not matter what order you read them in. Just read them.

I feel like at this point, with so many awesome releases in the Misadventures Series, the bar has been set high, for each new release. Well, Kendall Ryan definitely met the bar, and carried on the goodness of this series. She gifted us with Piper and Jackson, and their love story. It is a fabulous gift, and I genuinely think you will love it.

There is plenty of steaminess in this book, but if you prefer not so much steam, I think you can still enjoy this. Just skim those parts. There is plenty of plot outside of the steamy parts. The romance between Piper and Jackson, definitely isn't run of the mill. They start out as a fling, and then due to Jackson actually being Piper's boss at her new job, they become a part of one anothers' daily life.

As their story progresses, I think you will grow to love Jackson, despite his first impression not being the best. Piper is a very lovable character from moment one. She is a woman that we could all appreciate as a friend or sister or coworker. She is awesome, and as her character develops, I think you will find yourself wishing she were your best friend, or possibly even that you were her.

If you have ever had a secretary and Boss fantasy, or workplace romance fantasy, than you should absolutely love this book. It will entertain you, make you laugh, and probably cause you to shed a few tears. It is a fun, easy to follow read. It will hook you quickly, and you will absolutely enjoy the ride.

It has a few twists and turns, but it ends happily, and will definitely satisfy any needs for a happily ever after. Of course, you will have to ride through some drama and passion along the way to that happily ever after. 

Kendall has a lovely writing style, and she definitely created an awesome story!! I actually loved all the characters in this book, and would not mind a sequel, telling us about the Misadventures of Piper's sister. 

I definitely highly recommend you read this book, and as I said, I really recommend this entire series. I look forward to the next release, as well as reading more from Kendall Ryan. Misadventures with a Rookie #BookReview

I am here today, to tell you about the latest addition to the Misadventures Series. Have y'all listened to my advice yet, and checked out this series? If not, please do. Such a talented group of authors are involved, and the books they have created have been enjoyable!!

This latest release, from New York Times Bestselling Author Toni Aleo, is no exception to the greatness. This book fit right in with the rest. It was a great read, and a real page turner. I love books that reel you right in, and hook you. This was well written, great plot, nice characters, and a nice amount of steamy hotness.

Now, you will love this book if you like your romance novels with some steamy scenes. Toni managed to write this one in a way, that if steamy is not really your thing, you can easily skim over those parts, and still be entertained by the story. It was a feel good story, that will pull at your heart strings, and probably make you cry a bit, but in the end, you will finish it satisfied and feeling good.

Bo is an awesome female lead. She is feisty, intelligent, vulnerable yet strong, and she has some past hurts that she battles. As the book progresses, you see her heal and become a better version of herself. You see her discover her inner happiness, and it is beautiful to watch. I really think you will find yourself cheering her on, and possibly wanting to give her a stern look or two.

Gus is a complex guy. You may struggle at times to like him. On occasion you may even find yourself contemplating if he is a good match for Bo, worthy of her sassy goodness. My best advice, is to remember not to judge books by their covers, and that people aren't always as they may seem. I think he will grow on you, and you will find yourself cheering him on. Surface level him, how he appears at first glance, is not the same as the real him. I think you will enjoy getting to know him.

This was a well written book. I actually loved that it was a book that centered on a hockey player. Most books that have athletes in them, focus on (American) Football or Baseball. I am actually a huge hockey fan, so this was a nice surprise for me. If you are not into sports books, I honestly think you can still love this one. Hockey does play a big part in the plot of the book, but it is included in a way that complements the plot, rather than overtakes or ruins it.

I absolutely think this book is worthy of being added to your must read list, along with the rest of the Misadventures Series books. This was my first book by Toni Aleo, that I have read, but it absolutely will not be the last. It is a wonderful series, full of well written, well rounded books, and this one fit right in, and definitely stood up to the good read status of the rest of the books.

Misadventures with my Roommate #BookReview

I always get a bit nervous, when reading a book written by multiple authors. I find that it can sometimes seem choppy, and the parts written by each different author can be obvious. However, I was hopeful, since this one is part of the Misadventures Series, and thus far the books have all been fabulous. I am happy to report that this book was no exception. It was fantastic, and it was very fluid, and I could not tell it was written by two different writers.

I really, really loved this book. I think the thing that really drew me in, was the characters. I loved both the female (Blake) and male (Gavin) leads. They were fabulous. I could relate to Blake quite a bit, and I really enjoyed her blossom throughout the story. Gavin is a man to be adored. 

This book will make you laugh, scream, cry, and turn the pages. It is one of the better books I have read recently. I was honestly hooked before the end of the first chapter. I found myself invested in the characters. I genuinely want to know what happens next. It was a genuinely pleasure watching the affect they had on each other. 

This was my first book by authors Elizabeth and Hayley aka Elizabeth Hayley, but it will not be my last.

I will say that you make get a tiny bit frustrated at first by Blake, but have some faith. Ride it out, and she will win you over.

Misadventures of a College Girl by Lauren Rowe #BookReview

I am back, with my latest book review, and it is the latest release in the Misadventures Series. So, listen, at this point, I have read nearly every book in this series, and I have plans of reading the ones that I have not read yet. I think it is safe to say, that you should just read this entire series. This latest release by Lauren Rowe, does not disappoint.

In Misadventures of a College Girl, we follow Zooey, as she tackles college. It is an entertaining read, and one that I think you will enjoy. It is one of those books, where it is realistic, and you can actually imagine this stuff happening to you, even though it has that fairy tale feeling to it. If you like happy endings, then you will love this book.

Our book boyfriend in this book, is Tyler, and he is such a worthy book boyfriend. He is also a huge reminder to never judge books, or people, by their cover. I think by the time this book ends, you will be adding Tyler to your list of favorite book boyfriends. He is so worthy of your love, admiration, and your lust.

This book is steamy, but not so steamy, that if you don't like steamy books you will hate it. It is the perfect ratio of story to steamy. It was interesting, and once I got into it, I could not stop reading. I love those books... The ones where I do not want to stop reading, but at the same time, I want the story to go on and on. This one was the perfect addition to this series, and one you should absolutely read!! The beauty of the Misadventures Series, is despite being a series of books, you can read them in any order, and they all are great standalone reads!!

Misadventures on the Night Shift #BookReview

It is Saturday, and time for my latest review of the newest release in the Misadventures Series. This one was written by Lauren Rowe. It is hot, hot, hot, and lives up to the great read precedent set by the previous books in this series. I highly recommend you read it. At this point, I genuinely feel it is safe to say that we should just read every book released in this series. 

This one was extremely steamy. It was well written. The plot was wonderful, the characters were fabulous, there were tons of steamy parts, and the ending was wonderful. It really hit all the marks of a great book. Admittedly, if you don't like steamy scenes, this one may be a bit hard for you to read. However, if you just skim those parts, the story is still wonderful and worth reading.

Abby and Lucas' story is a bit unconventional, but I have no doubt you will be pulling for them to make a permanent connection. They are truly lovable characters. Lucas seems a bit bad, but once you dig deep, he is a wonderful guy. As for Abby, she is just wonderful. Her views of herself are a bit skewed by the opinions of others, but by the end, she loves herself the way she should. I found myself relating to her quite a bit.

Misadventures of the First Daughter #BookReview

As I am sure you know, this is my latest book review. Yes, it is for the latest release in the Misadventures Series. Okay, listen, before I get into what I thought of this latest release, let's take a moment to focus on the series as a whole. I highly recommend this series. I will be honest, I was excited when I first heard about this series. Many of the authors included, are authors that I admire. I was also slightly skeptical. I mean an entire series written by various authors, that could be super cool. We should definitely expect variety, and variety is the spice of life. I was also a bit skeptical due to the fact that several of the releases featured two authors. I have often read novels with multiple authors, and they did not work. The back and for between authors and writing styles, was far from flawless, and the books suffered. That is not true with this series. These books are fantastic, and very well written. The flow of them, even the ones with multiple authors, is flawless. So, definitely read this series.

Now, onto what I felt of the misadventures experienced by the President's daughter. It did not disappoint. Not at all. It had an excellent, entertaining plot, and the characters are wonderful. It was definitely a page turner, and I did not get bored. I really enjoyed it, and it really piqued my imagination. I could literally put myself into these characters places, and imagine what they were thinking and feeling. Definitely a well written book.

This book definitely gets steamy, but not so steamy it detracts from the plot. I should warn you, if you hate BDSM, then you may not like this book. If you enjoy BDSM books, then this book will definitely have something in store for you. Now, if you aren't into BDSM, do not write this book off. The BDSM is written in a way, which is adds to the story, and increases the steamy factor, but it isn't forced down your throat in a way, that if BDSM isn't your thing, you absolutely will not like this. It is more of a bonus, and not the main event.

This book is full of romance, suspense, sexiness, humor, and action. It is definitely worth checking out. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It made me want to run out and find myself a bodyguard to date. I kid, I kid. Sort of. I mean, if ever I met a Zane, I would absolutely develop an instant crush. Admittedly, despite loving the movie The Bodyguard, that idea of crushing on a bodyguard never occurred to me. After reading this book, I am seriously thinking everyone should have a crush on their bodyguard, and that I need a bodyguard. This has definitely inspired my inner daydreamer.
