1. Passenger to driver: Maybe next time you should call the firemen, rather than taking things into your own hands.

Driver: I used my truck not my hands.

2. Supervisor: When I sent you to check out and test the functionality of the hydrant, this is not what I had in mind.

Repairman: Well, I wanted to make sure it could withstand anything that could come at it. You never know, a truck might have come right at it one day.

3. Passenger: What are you going to tell your wife?

Driver: Some alternate facts.

4. Store owner's wife: I told you to paint it bright red.

Store owner: It's a big fire hydrant. How can someone not see it?

Store owner's wife: I will go buy some red paint.

5. Driver: So that is what happens.

Let it Snow Dec 2016 #FunnyFriday

1. All these clothes... Snow better be worth it!

2. Go outside in the snow, they said. It will be fun, they said.

3. I envision her bundling up every day, and waiting by the window for the first snowfall, and being sad about the unusually warm weather.

4. Getting bundled up was so tiring. Just a quick nap, and then I will be ready for all things fun in the snow!!

5. If I get told we will go out in the snow in five more minutes, one more time, I will scream! Why am I the only one who appreciates the wonderfulness of snow!?!

My first thought was A Christmas Story!! Anyone else?!

This will most likely be my last blog post of 2016. I highly doubt I will be able to write another before Sunday. That being said, please know... We are once again teaming up with Karen of Baking in a Tornado, for another Progressive Story project!! Which I am excited about, and will be writing my part this weekend!! 

Now, 2016... What a tough year. I think for so many people, not just myself, this was a year of struggles and loss. It also had some happy moments, and for those I am grateful. Unfortunately, I feel like I watched huge chunks of my childhood die. People who helped entertain and teach and inspire me, during my youth, have all moved on to Heaven/the afterlife. I have even suffered some personal losses. It was just a hard year.

It was a year that has rocked my very foundation, and shattered some of the things I believed about this world and country. I am determined to go into 2017 with a positive outlook, and a positive hope for the future. I refuse to let the negativity of 2016 taint 2017. With any luck, 2017 will be a much better year for us all.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your support over this past year. For reading my blogs and interacting with me on my Facebook page. My hope is to make my blog better in 2017. I had started the process months ago, but 2016 got in the way. I hope to finish what I started in 2017, and create a better blog, with better content for your reading enjoyment. I want to put more of myself into this blog, and just make it better overall. 

I hope to continue interacting with y'all in 2017, and hopefully you will enjoy my posts throughout the upcoming year!! May you all have a blessed, prosperous, and joyful 2017!! May we all travel unscathed through the months of 2017, and enter into the following year better and wiser, for having lived through 2017!!

Fashion Diva October 2016 #FunnyFriday

1. The moment when Dad fully understood why mom highlighted "Do not let her dress herself, without parental input", on the list of While Mom is Away instructions.

2. Daughter: Why are you looking at me like that? It's the shoes, isn't it? I knew I should have worn my Princess Elsa flats.

Mom: Yeah, sure, it's the shoes.

3. Daughter: Mom, why doesn't this swimsuit fit me? I wanted to wear it for my fashion show, but it just isn't cooperating.

Mom: Well, that is probably because it isn't a swimsuit.

Daughter: What is it?

Mom: My underwear.

Daughter looks down in horror.

*A minute later*

Daughter: You know, I can see it now. How about we tell nobody about this? Wait. Is that your camera?

4. Mom: This is not how this works. It is not how any of it works.

Daughter: What? It looks fine to me.

*Dad walks in, looks at daughter, and slowly backs out*

5. Side story, that this picture reminded me of... So, when I was younger, we played a game called get dressed poker. We all started out with out regular clothes on, and we had to keep adding them on. Whoever could no longer get more clothes to fit on, was the loser, and had to walk down the street and back. It was especially embarrassing, because usually underwear were the easiest things to get to fit on over many layers, so we tended to do the walk with underwear/bras on the outside. We would occasionally play it with Rummy also. I am happy to report I very seldom lost.

Give A Dog A Bone Sept. 2016 #FunnyFriday

1. Dog to himself: I knew it! I knew she was holding out on me. Looks like she saved the good stuff for herself. My dinner looked nothing like that. What is that?! A T-Bone?!

2. Dog to other dog: Can you please hurry up in there!

Dog back to dog at door: I am hurrying! Geez!

Dog to other dog: Hurrying? This is what you call hurrying? You have been in there for hours! The humans will be home soon, and I still have not had my turn to soak!

Dog to dog at door: Hold your horses! I will be done in two minutes, now give me some privacy!

3. Human to dog: Hey! Get out of here! I am trying to pee!

Dog to himself: Sure! I look at her peeing and it is a travesty, but she always leads me around on a leash and watches me pee, like no big deal. Geez. Silly human. Maybe I want some privacy!

4. Dog to himself: Well, from the looks of it, I have maybe five minutes to go hide my bones. She is almost done in the shower. Hopefully this time she doesn't move them. If I didn't want them under the couch, I wouldn't put them there.

5. Dog to himself: Ugh. Look at the tiny human making a mess in there. I bet it gets blamed on me, AGAIN. Always my fault.

1. Girl to boy: We've got this! We will have our college funds full in no time!

Boy to girl: You sure?! I mean, I just don't think mud pies are where the money is at right now.

Girl to boy: What?! Everyone LOVES mud pies.

Boy to girl: Okay, but if this doesn't work, we are trying lemonade next.

2. Boy to girl: Ring it louder! I don't think those people over there can hear it.

Girl to boy: I am ringing it as loud as I can.

Boy to girl: Good. Everyone needs to know we are open. I make amazing pretend sketti.

Girl to boy: Yeah you do. I hope we don't sell out. I want some more, before I have to go home and eat my mom's real sketti. Yours is way better!

Boy to girl: My mom taught me everything I know.

3. Boy and girl: Helllooooooo! Come to our store! We have everything you need for playing at the park.

Girl: Get your invisible balls here!

Boy: Get your invisible fire trucks!

Girl: Get your invisible jump ropes!

Boy: Get your invisible frisbees!

Girl to boy: We have frisbees?

Boy to girl: Yeah. Right over there next to the Nerf guns.

Girl to boy: I really need to better learn our inventory.

Boy to girl: If you want to continue on as my business partner, knowing the inventory completely is a must!

Girl to boy: Okay. Okay. I'll work harder.

4. Gigi: Get your food here!!

Boy: Yeah, we will make food!!

Me to Gigi: Will you make me some spaghetti?

Gigi to me: No.

Me to Gigi: Will you make me some french fries?

Gigi to me: No.

Me to Gigi: Well, what will you make me?

Gigi to me: Nothing.

Me to Gigi: You said you are making food!

Gigi to me: Not for you.

Me to Gigi: Well, excuse me.

5. So, this is Gigi and her best friend at the park. His mom is my best friend. They are adorable together. He is a sweetheart, as is she, and I just think they will rule the world one day.

1. Mom to son: I told you to clean this mess up fifteen minutes ago. What have you been doing?!
Son to mom: Cleaning obviously.

2. Mom to Dad: What happened?
Dad to Mom: It wasn't me!
Son to Dad: It wasn't only me.
Mom to son: What happened?
Son to mom: We had fun. Lots and lots of fun.
Dad to mom: That is very true.
Mom to Dad and son: Well, someone better clean the fun up, and it won't be me.

3. Mom to son: When you said you wanted to redecorate, this is not what I thought you had in mind.

4. Mom to son: What happened in here?
Son to Mom: Mom, what happens in the fort, stays in the fort. Sorry, but I cannot tell you.
Mom: ....

5. Dad to son: You better get this all cleaned up before your mom gets home!
Son to Dad: Why? She won't be mad at me.
Dad to son: I am pretty sure she won't be happy.
Son to dad: You let me do it, she isn't going to be mad at me.
Dad to son: I will give you $5 if you have this all cleaned up by the time your mom gets home.
Son to dad: Deal.

6 (bonus). My future in about two years, only with a girl in the picture rather than a boy.

1. Dog to owner: So this is what you do all day? Really? Cat videos? Et tu Brute?

2. Dog to owner: That video got 3 million views?! I am way cuter than that cat! Okay. Okay. You can start recording me. We will be on Ellen in no time.

3. Owner to Dog: One more video and then it is my turn.
Dog to owner: But mom, I just need five more minutes.
Owner to Dog: You said that two hours ago.
Dog to owner: I am serious this time.
Owner to dog: If you don't give me my computer back after this video, tomorrow at the dog park, I am telling Bingo and Roscoe you have been watching cat videos again.
Dog to owner: You wouldn't dare!
Owner to dog: Is that a risk you want to take?
Dog to owner: Fine, but I get more computer time before bed.

4. Dog to owner: I don't care what the guy in the video said. I don't think we should try to do this at home.
Owner to dog: I am telling you, we can do this. I have watched like a million how to videos on YouTube.
Dog to owner: Yeah. Sure. No way this can possibly go wrong. You do have an emergency dog groomer on speed dial, right???

5. Owner to dog: Are you still watching cooking videos on YouTube?
Dog to owner: Well, I was. It all started with how to cook a steak. Then I was watching dogs chase cats. Then I was watching dogs sled in snow. Somehow I was watching a squirrel on a water ski. Now, five hours later, I am watching videos on how to speak French. We really should travel more.
Owner to dog: I will keep that in mind. A squirrel on a water ski?
Dog to owner: Yeah! Want to see?
Owner to dog: Scoot over!

Tomorrow, we are going to a celebration of life for our dear friend we lost earlier this month. I still cannot believe she is no longer with us. Sunday, I am doing my first ever 5k.
