No Pictures, Please #FunnyFriday

Welcome to July’s Funny Friday, a regular feature published on the last Friday of every month. Funny Friday is a collaborative project. Each month one of the participants submits a picture, then we all write five captions or thoughts inspired by that month’s picture. Links to the other bloggers’ posts are below, click on them and see what they have come up with. I hope we bring a smile to your face as you start your weekend.

Here is today’s picture. It was submitted by me, and Gigi was the photographer.

1. Me: It was this big, I swear.

Chad: Every time you say the spider is huge, it turns out to be tiny.
Me: They are all HUGE!
Gigi: Not really, Mama. Some spiders are tiny. So tiny they could crawl on you, and you would not even know it.
Me: Thanks, it isn't like I ever wanted to sleep again.
(This is a conversation that really happened, not at this exact moment in the photograph, but it did happen. Can't you tell Gigi loves me?!)

2. Me: STOP! Do not eat the last cookie, I was saving it for me.
Gigi: *eats the cookie, while looking at me*
Me: Well, that is fine. I did not need to calories anyway.
(Another real conversation.)

3. Me: Oh my gosh! You are NOT going to wear that, are you? Chad: Why? What's wrong with this?
Me: I mean, I guess it's fine.

4. Me: Please, no pictures of me!
Gigi: *takes picture* Why not, Mama?
Me: I look terrible.
Gigi: You look beautiful.
(Yep, the real conversation! <3)

5. Me: No! Don't do it!
Gigi: *does it*
Me: I am so grateful you are so obedient.
Gigi: What is obedient? I do not know that word.
Me: Tell me about it.

I hope you enjoyed this month's picture. Gigi LOVES to take pictures, and sometimes they are funny. Don't forget to check out the other Funny Friday posts, and see what laughs my fellow bloggers have in store for you. I will meet you there, as soon as I get home. I have to take Gigi to school! Can you believe she is in Kindergarten already?!

Snow Doubt About It #FunnyFriday

Welcome to February's Funny Friday. Funny Friday is a regular feature, published on the last Friday of every month. It is a collaborative project. Each month one of the participants submits a picture, then we all write five captions or thoughts inspired by that month’s picture. I hope we bring a smile to your face as you start your weekend.

Here is today’s picture. It was submitted by Dawn of Cognitive Script. (Thank you for sharing this adorable picture with us, Dawn!!)

1. Little Girl: Um, Mom, I think we have a problem.
Mom: What is wrong?
Little Girl: I think I laid here a bit too long. I feel frozen.
Mom: Anna Frozen or Elsa Frozen?
Little Girl: Olaf.
Mom: Oh my. Let's get you inside and thawed out.

2. Little Girl: OOps. That did not go as planned.

3. Mom: What are you doing?
Little Girl: Burying myself in the snow.
Mom: Why?
Little Girl: I am pretending to be Olaf.
Mom: Wouldn't it be better to pretend to be Anna or Elsa?
Little Girl: Olaf is way cooler.
Mom: Well, he is made of snow.

4. Little Girl: Using snow to hold my legs down for sit ups was a genius idea.
Mom: How so?
Little Girl: I am on number twenty, and I am not even sweating yet. Nice and cool.
Mom: It's so cold, your sweat would just freeze.
Little Girl: Would that make me an icicle?
Mom: Sure. Let's go with that.

5. How adorable is this picture?! It almost makes me miss the snow, and playing in the snow, and snowmen, and snowball fights. Almost. Then I remember how badly the freezing cold weather makes my body hurt, and suddenly I don't miss it so much. I do know that Gigi deserves to experience the fun only a day in snow can bring. I definitely need to buy some warm clothes, and bring her up to Lake Tahoe for a snow day soon.

I hope you enjoyed my captions!! How would you caption this adorable picture?! I hope you have a fabulous Friday, full of laughs and happiness.

Panic #FunnyFriday

Welcome to September’s Funny Friday, a regular feature published on the last Friday of every month. Funny Friday is a collaborative project. Each month one of the participants submits a picture, then we all write five captions or thoughts inspired by that month’s picture. Links to the other bloggers’ posts are below, click on them and see what they’ve come up with. I hope we bring a smile to your face as you start your weekend.

Here’s today’s picture. It was submitted by Cognitive Script.

1. Sally: Billy, running out of beer is not an extreme emergency.

Billy: But Sally, it is Sunday.
Sally: All the more reason running out of beer isn't a problem.
Billy: Football, Sally. Football.
Sally: You make no sense. I will go get you beer. Leave the button alone, and you better not make a peep during Grey's on Thursday. Not one peep.

2. Millie: Why did you press the button?!?
Willy: You won't let me play my video game.
Millie: Mom and Dad are going to kill you. That is not an extreme emergency.
Willy: Tomato, tomahto.

3. Hallie Anne hoped the hot firemen didn't realize her extreme emergencies, were really just excuses to see such handsome men. That seemed none the wiser, and for that she was grateful. (I absolutely would probably do this as an 80 year old.)

4. I feel like I need one of these. I wonder who it calls. Either way, a panic button would be awesome. I would press it nearly every day. Ever feel like you have no idea what you are doing? Oy. Lately, I feel like I am barely treading water, and I am definitely in over my head.

5. So, one of my first thoughts was about our fortune cookies. I had my neurology appointment earlier, and afterward, out car battery was dead. By the time AAA came and we were on our way home, it was late. So, I chose to grab some Chinese food. I ordered a combination plate, that I knew Gigi would love. Gigi got a Happy Meal, that I knew she would only half eat, but it's her preference. Chad got his beloved bacon cheeseburger from Carl's Jr (gag). They gave me two fortune cookies, and I shared them with Gigi. Hers had a nice fortune (Awaken your divine nature within.). I was so excited to read mine. Opened it. Nothing. Nada. No fortune. I am guessing that is really not a good thing. Maybe it knows that our car broke down, and I think we probably need a new battery. Maybe it should have said "Cars are expensive. Suck it up, Buttercup!"

What about you?! Would you like to have a panic button?! Thank you for stopping by!! Now, go check out what my fellow bloggers have in store for you!! I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!

Here’s today’s picture. It was submitted by Minette of Southern Belle Charm.

43 - Southern Belle Charm - Aug 2017.jpg

1. Minette waiting for Mike to admit she was right.

2. Mike: What are you doing?
Minette: Decorating.
Mike: For?
Minette: Halloween.
Mike: But it is August.
Minette: I know. In about a week, Christmas will take over everything. I am just making sure that Halloween gets a fair amount of time.

3. Minette waiting for Mike to admit she is the better driver.

4. Minette: You're sure this will keep the possums away?
Mike: Of course.
Minette: If you say so.
(Having lived in NC, I can tell you, nearly nothing will scare the possums away, but we sure did have fun trying to find ways to scare them away!

P.S. You should be extra careful with fireworks)

5. Do you follow Southern Belle Charm?! You should!! Minette is amazing. This picture mostly just makes me so dang happy. Minette's husband has been through a lot this past year, and he is truly #MiracleMike. So, that is my reaction to this picture.... Huge smiles.

I hope you enjoyed this month's picture!! Make sure you check out the other Funny Friday posts, to see what laughs my fellow bloggers have for you!!

Silly Human #FunnyFriday

Today’s post is this July’s Funny Friday, a regular feature published on the last Friday of every month.

It was submitted by Dawn of Cognitive Script:

42 - Cognitive Script - July 2017.jpg

1. Cat to self: If I just lay here, he will move. Eventually. He has to move. Then I will lay on the charm. Operation Cat Nip commence.

2. Cat to self (20 minutes later): When is he going to move? He is being so lazy today, and I know lazy. I mean, it takes an expert understanding of lazy to sleep 20 hours a day, and I do that easy peasy. He will eventually get up. I will charm some cat nip out of him. I just hope it happens soon, before mom gets home. Sigh. Maybe I should stretch and claw him just a bit. I will figure it out, after I take another nap. *yawn* Operation Cat Nip is exhausting.

3. Cat: Silly human, you need to move. This spot is mine. I know I never sit here, and you always do, but right now, this spot is mine. Don't you see me laying here?! Mine. Move!

4. Cat, while looking over shoulder: Another cat video?! When are you going to stop watching videos of other cats, and start making videos of me?! You want to go viral?! Look at ME!! I am adorable and I can do adorable things. Let's own the internet, get your camera. We can just start just after I take a nap.

5. When I looked at this pic, my first thought was how beautiful this cat is. I love black cats. I know they get a bad rap, but I think they are awesome. Orange cats are my favorite. There is just something special about them to me, but black ones are right up there. It makes me sad to know they get such a bad rap, and are often the last to get adopted. So, the next time you are thinking about adopting a cat... Maybe just take home the adorable black cat. They are awesome! Except at night, when your apartment is pitch black, and you are making your way to the potty and half asleep, and it walks against your leg, and you are certain it is a burglar, and you pee your pants a little while screaming bloody murder. I mean, I guess that could happen. Maybe.

There you have it. Another Funny Friday is in the books. I hope I was able to make you smile. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

1. Passenger to driver: Maybe next time you should call the firemen, rather than taking things into your own hands.

Driver: I used my truck not my hands.

2. Supervisor: When I sent you to check out and test the functionality of the hydrant, this is not what I had in mind.
Repairman: Well, I wanted to make sure it could withstand anything that could come at it. You never know, a truck might have come right at it one day.

3. Passenger: What are you going to tell your wife?
Driver: Some alternate facts.

4. Store owner's wife: I told you to paint it bright red.
Store owner: It's a big fire hydrant. How can someone not see it?
Store owner's wife: I will go buy some red paint.

5. Driver: So that is what happens.

Fashion Diva October 2016 #FunnyFriday

Today’s post is this month’s Funny Friday, a regular feature published on the last Friday of every month. Funny Friday is a collaborative project. Here is today’s picture. It was submitted by Candice of Measurements of Merriment

1. The moment when Dad fully understood why mom highlighted "Do not let her dress herself, without parental input", on the list of While Mom is Away instructions.

2. Daughter: Why are you looking at me like that? It's the shoes, isn't it? I knew I should have worn my Princess Elsa flats.
Mom: Yeah, sure, it's the shoes.

3. Daughter: Mom, why doesn't this swimsuit fit me? I wanted to wear it for my fashion show, but it just isn't cooperating.
Mom: Well, that is probably because it isn't a swimsuit.
Daughter: What is it?
Mom: My underwear.
Daughter looks down in horror.
*A minute later*
Daughter: You know, I can see it now. How about we tell nobody about this? Wait. Is that your camera?

4. Mom: This is not how this works. It is not how any of it works.
Daughter: What? It looks fine to me.
*Dad walks in, looks at daughter, and slowly backs out*

5. Side story, that this picture reminded me of... So, when I was younger, we played a game called get dressed poker. We all started out with out regular clothes on, and we had to keep adding them on. Whoever could no longer get more clothes to fit on, was the loser, and had to walk down the street and back. It was especially embarrassing, because usually underwear were the easiest things to get to fit on over many layers, so we tended to do the walk with underwear/bras on the outside. We would occasionally play it with Rummy also. I am happy to report I very seldom lost.

Thank you for the super adorable photo, Candice!!!

I hope I was able to make you giggle!!! Be sure to check out the captions everyone else gave the photo!!!

1. Dog to himself: I knew it! I knew she was holding out on me. Looks like she saved the good stuff for herself. My dinner looked nothing like that. What is that?! A T-Bone?!

2. Dog to other dog: Can you please hurry up in there!
Dog back to dog at door: I am hurrying! Geez!
Dog to other dog: Hurrying? This is what you call hurrying? You have been in there for hours! The humans will be home soon, and I still have not had my turn to soak!
Dog to dog at door: Hold your horses! I will be done in two minutes, now give me some privacy!

3. Human to dog: Hey! Get out of here! I am trying to pee!
Dog to himself: Sure! I look at her peeing and it is a travesty, but she always leads me around on a leash and watches me pee, like no big deal. Geez. Silly human. Maybe I want some privacy!

4. Dog to himself: Well, from the looks of it, I have maybe five minutes to go hide my bones. She is almost done in the shower. Hopefully this time she doesn't move them. If I didn't want them under the couch, I wouldn't put them there.

5. Dog to himself: Ugh. Look at the tiny human making a mess in there. I bet it gets blamed on me, AGAIN. Always my fault.

This is what I came up with, using this adorable dog as my muse. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Now, don't forget to check out the other blogs featuring this month's Funny Friday!

1. Mom to son: I told you to clean this mess up fifteen minutes ago. What have you been doing?!
Son to mom: Cleaning obviously.

2. Mom to Dad: What happened?
Dad to Mom: It wasn't me!
Son to Dad: It wasn't only me.
Mom to son: What happened?
Son to mom: We had fun. Lots and lots of fun.
Dad to mom: That is very true.
Mom to Dad and son: Well, someone better clean the fun up, and it won't be me.

3. Mom to son: When you said you wanted to redecorate, this is not what I thought you had in mind.

4. Mom to son: What happened in here?
Son to Mom: Mom, what happens in the fort, stays in the fort. Sorry, but I cannot tell you.
Mom: ....

5. Dad to son: You better get this all cleaned up before your mom gets home!
Son to Dad: Why? She won't be mad at me.
Dad to son: I am pretty sure she won't be happy.
Son to dad: You let me do it, she isn't going to be mad at me.
Dad to son: I will give you $5 if you have this all cleaned up by the time your mom gets home.
Son to dad: Deal.

6 (bonus). My future in about two years, only with a girl in the picture rather than a boy.

Thank you for checking out my contribution to this month's Funny Friday!! I hope I was able to bring some giggles into your day!! I hope you have a fantastic weekend!! Tomorrow, we will be having Gigi's third birthday party!! She will officially be three on Monday!! I cannot believe how quickly time is passing us by!! Three already, where did the time go?!?!
