Today’s post is September’s Funny Friday, a regular feature here published on the last Friday of every month. Funny Friday is a collaborative project. Each month one of the participants submits a picture, then we all write 5 captions or thoughts inspired by that month’s picture. Links to the other bloggers’ posts are below, click on them and see what they’ve come up with. I hope we bring a smile to your face as you start your weekend.
Here’s today’s picture. It was submitted by Stacy Sews and Schools (http://stacysewsandschools.blogspot.com).
1. What did we get ourselves into?
2. Did we get them all?
3. What was that?
4. (Girl, front right) What was I thinking picking them as teammates? I am doomed!
5. My thoughts... I have never seen this ride and know nothing about it. So, as I was studying the picture, I was wondering what the ride is and what goes on. I have really not ridden any amusement park rides. I have never been to Disneyland or Disney World. Looking at this picture made me want to go ride some rides. So, I have decided to put that on my bucket list. I want to ride at least a roller coaster and a Ferris wheel. Also, I have made a promise to myself, that I will let Weewee be a kid. I will let her go to fairs and ride rides. Something I did not get to do. I will admit, it is a scary thought, but she deserves a full and fun childhood. Now, anyone willing to tell me about the ride in this picture? Where is it? What happens during it? Stacy?
Thank you, Stacy, for an awesome picture. I am sorry I couldn't do a better job with it, but I think my lack of experience with rides really led to me drawing a blank. I did imagine there being scary creatures, that you had to spray with the nozzles. Am I close?
Thank you all for taking the time to visit my blog! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Jules, once again I felt like living under a rock. I had NO IDEA what ride that is, and what park you need to go for it... Yay for Withlee to be allowed to do all the fun stuff, will keep my eyes open for those pics and Videos :-)
ReplyDeleteFrom what Stacy said, it seems like a ride I would actual enjoy! You know me... there will be plenty of videos and pictures! ;)
DeleteI love that you're committing yourself to taking your daughter to Disneyland someday. You will have more fun just watching Whitlee discover it all. The rides are pretty awesome too, but there's just something about hearing the little ones laugh... Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI am very excited! I definitely want her to live a full and happy childhood! I must admit, Disney will be very exciting for me as well. It is something I have always wanted to do. I specifically have always wanted a picture with Eeyore. :) Mostly, yes, I just want to see her face and hear her laughs! Her happiness is my happiness!
DeleteYou did an awesome job and I love your thoughts at the end.
ReplyDeleteThank you! <3
DeleteYour captions were so funny but your thoughts made me wish for you that you do get to cross this off of your bucket list. Rides and carnivals and amusement parks are so much fun. Hope you go for it.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely going to go for it! I have already started to plot a trip to the fair for next Summer. I don't know how much we will be able to do, as Whitlee will still be fairly young, but I know she will at least enjoy the sight of it all! Chad has a work BBQ coming up in a couple weeks. There will be bounce houses. I think I am going to allow Molly and Emma (her BFF) to bring Whitlee on one of them. Before writing this post, and really thinking about rides and fairs and childhood fun, I was too scared she would get hurt. Now I think that if it can be just the three of them, she will probably have a blast! :) So, it isn't quite a ride, but it will be the start of her fun childhood! Hehe!
DeleteSuper fun! You should DEFINITELY ride some rides!!!
ReplyDeleteI definitely will! I will even make sure to blog about it, and include photographic evidence!
DeleteI rode every roller coaster at Six Flags in San Antonio once - almost killed me. Literally. Still get on one every now and then, though! It's a great thing to put on your "I don't want to call it a Bucket List" Bucket List. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome!!! I hope to have a portion of the courage you had, because I definitely want to experience some rides! I actually call mine a "Live List"... but that confuses most people, so I will refer to it as a Bucket List occasionally! I actually have a Live Board. It is nearly done. Once it is, I will post a pic of it! :)
DeleteLOVE your comments but even more I love that you have decided to ride some yourself!!!
ReplyDeleteWe were at a theme park close to where we live. The ride was called Boo Brothers. They are basically ghost hunters and have to shoot as many ghosts as they can.
Check around and see if your state fair is coming up! We are taking the kids to ours tomorrow.
How was it?!?! I bet they loved it! I was too skittish to do it this year, but I have started plotting a trip to the fair for next Summer. She will still be fairly young, but I think a 2 year old can still enjoy quite a bit! At the very least she can enjoy the sights! Thanks for explaining the pic to me! It actually sounds like a ride I would LOVE! :) Great pic! Thank you for sharing it with us!!!
