Candy Clown Shoes... Secret Subject Swap September 2014.

Welcome to a Secret Subject Swap. This week, 11 brave bloggers picked a secret subject for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our posts.

My “Secret Subject” is:
You receive a mysterious package, inside you find a pair of clown shoes filled with candy...

My initial reaction to this subject is that I would return to sender the package. I might would even move. Clown shoes with candy?! That is some horror movie type of stuff. My friend HUZ said "That's some John Wayne Gacy type of shit!" I agree. I am not actually scared of clowns, and candy can be a good thing, but clown shoes full of candy sent to me? Weird.

I must say my curiosity would be piqued. I would definitely look to see who sent it. If I knew the person, I would call them and we could discuss it. Maybe there is a great reason behind it. If I didn't know the person, it would definitely be returned to sender. Moving may even become an option.

It would also depend on the type of candy. Chocolate? Meh. No thanks! (Please don't judge me! I know I am weird for not being a fan of chocolate. Trust me, everyone always tells me just how weird I am!) Starbursts, Twizzlers, Mike and Ike's, Hot Tamales? Well... Okay, maybe it is a cool gift. I mean Chadski does wear size 13 shoes. I would think clown shoes would fit him. Weewee would certainly enjoy it.

This is the making of a great horror story. Truly! People receive a package with clown shoes filled with candy, and within days they are *dramatic pause* murdered in some terrifyingly horrific way. I do love a good horror story.

The more I think about it, the more I must say, the condition of the shoes and the candy packaging also matters. Are the shoes new? Have they been worn? Is the candy packaged? Is the candy open and exposed? I am a bit of a germaphobe. This whole situation can be quite horrifying. I guess it is lucky I am not scared of clowns, or this would probably be horrifying all around.

What about you... What would your reaction be? Would you eat the candy? What is your favorite candy? My friend Karen from Baking in a Tornado, has been asking us on Facebook about candy this week. I am sad to say that Hot Tamales (a candy I LOVE) beat Starbursts (My favorite candy). The truth is, I love lots of fruity candies. They are my preference. I am not a fan of Chocolate. Caramel is okay. I love nutty/peanut butter candies. As I get older, I find that I like candy less and less, though I do occasionally crave it. Please, if you don't mind, tell me your favorite candy/candies, in the comments. Also, I'd love to know your reaction to receiving a package containing a candy filled pair of clown shoes.

Now, I have some business I would like to handle. I love writing this blog. I love doing the blogging challenges. I plan on continuing to do the blogging challenges, for as long as my fellow bloggers want to allow it! What about the rest of the blog. Have you all noticed that I have been posting blogs fairly regularly lately? Basically just posts about me speaking my mind, and a few of me sharing pictures. I enjoy giving my family and friends glimpses into our life. I want this blog to be a blog you actually enjoy keeping up with.

So, how can I make this blog one you want to follow?

Would you like to see posts about recipes from Pinterest I try, and see if I am successful or not? Please note, my failures may outnumber my successes, but I think we could have some laughs along the way. Do you want more Weewee stories? What do you want? Please, let me know! Yes, I write this for my own enjoyment, but I write it for those of you that read it!

I hope you are all having a fabulous Friday, and I hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!

As always, thanks for reading!!!

  1. Sorry that my prompt freaked you out. I thought it was weird and the idea for it came from my husband. We were discussing writing prompts and he gave me that one. I'm not afraid of clowns but have never been a fan, getting clown shoes with candy in them would def. make me think twice about opening much less eating it. LOL
    Thanks for playing along.

  3. I would have to use that gift to freak out my oldest daughter. She is terrified of clowns! After I eat the candy, of course... ;)

  5. Ooohps? My first reaction would certainly be to look for a card. If there is one, and it's from a friend, I'd laugh about it and eat the candy. No card or weird card - probably through it away and try and forget about it. Still a bit creepy, though.

Favorite candy: mint chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, M&Ms, gummy bears.

I visited your blog outside the challenges a while ago and read your "pink" post and loved it. I always like to read about other people's everyday life, call me a stalker. Just the good and the bad of a regular Thursday.

There are lots of food blogs out there, if cooking isn't your thing you shouldn't beat yourself up.

    1. I love to cook. If I have a recipe to follow, my food tends to taste perfectly fine. My biggest problem, is that my food is never very pretty.

Thank you! I enjoy reading your blog as well! :)

  6. I love this prompt and kind of wish I had received it (though I loved mine, too!). The writer in me is screaming to write a scene involving clown shoes with candy. Very creeptastic!
