My words are:
scrumptious ~ villain ~ slowly ~ kaleidoscope ~ bathroom
They were submitted by: Dinosaur Superhero Mommy (Thank you for such interesting and challenging words!!)
I don't know how it happened.
It happened slowly.
Or maybe it happened quickly.
One moment I was living a simple life.
Walking around with a kaleidoscope worldview.
Suddenly I was the girl spending hours in the bathroom.
Beautifying myself.
Pampering myself.
Using scrumptious smelling lotions.
Wanting to look my best for you.
Going out on dates.
Making plans for the future.
A future with you.
Oblivious to your true self.
The real you under the facades.
I wish I had always known the real you.
I wish I had been protected.
I wish my heart had never been broken.
I wish I had never met you.
I wish my life story never included a villain.
I wish it never included you.
I don't know how it happened.
It happened slowly.
Or maybe it happened quickly.
One moment I was living a simple life.
Walking around with a kaleidoscope worldview.

Wow, Jules, such a powerful use of your words. I both love the post and hope it's not true.
ReplyDeletewhoa...amazing post and so emotional and powerful-like Karen said.
ReplyDeleteI really liked this one! I've known a few villains like that myself years and years ago. This is my first time in the challenge and it is so fun seeing how all of these words are being used.
ReplyDeleteHow sad :-(
ReplyDeleteThis is such a gripping poem full of raw feelings that squeezed the breath out of me as I read. Love this!
ReplyDeleteI think we should all get one RESTART button, don't you? Wouldn't it be great to go back just once and change things?
