Today’s post is February’s Funny Friday, a regular feature published on the last Friday of every month. Funny Friday is a collaborative project. Each month one of the participants submits a picture, then we all write five captions or thoughts inspired by that month’s picture. Links to the other bloggers’ posts are below, click on them and see what they have come up with. I hope we bring a smile to your face as you start your weekend.
Here’s today’s incredible picture. It was submitted by the genius at The Bergham Chronicles.
Okay, yeah, me. I submitted this pic. :)
1. Gigi: When Mom has coffee, she's happy. When mom is happy, I get candy. I'll just be putting this right here. Now, where is the candy aisle?!
2. Gigi: I'm not even 2 1/2 and they have me doing the shopping. At this rate, I'll be doing the laundry by my next birthday. Is it too late to be adopted?!
3. Me: Gigi, don't put things in the cart! Oh. Coffee?! Carry on.
Me to Chad: Definitely my kid.
Me to Chad: Definitely my kid.
4. Chad: Did you tell her to put that in the cart?!
Me: Nope.
Chad: If cookies end up in the cart, it wasn't me.
Me: Sureee.
Me: Nope.

5. She comes by it honestly. I started drinking coffee at five. We did not prompt her to put the coffee in the cart. It was a very proud moment though. As for the aforementioned cookies, we left with two types of mysteriously acquired cookies. Oh, and Gigi did leave with organic jelly beans.

Like Mama, like daughter, such a proud moment.
ReplyDeleteI loved this picture, Jules, so cute!
Thank you!! It will forever be a favorite memory of mine!!
DeleteFour!! Now if you can teach her to MAKE you a cup, you're in business!
ReplyDeleteShe can!! With the Keurig. She just kinda did it one day. We don't let her, because it is dangerous for her, now that we've moved the Keurig. She amazes me none the less.
DeleteThey should pay you for loading up the cart!
ReplyDeleteLOL!
DeleteLOL! Husbands never grow up either. Love the pic!
ReplyDeleteNo, no they don't. LOL. Thank you!!
DeleteHey you gotta teach them young, shopping, laundry, dishes, sweeping...lol That's the age when they actually want to help, when they get older it's like pulling teeth just to get them to pick up their shoe. Great job this week!
ReplyDeleteShe's so good right now. She loves helping with all kinds of chores. The one thing she refuses to do?! Pick up her own toys. It baffles me.
DeleteAll in all a very successful groceries run, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI must agree!!!
DeleteThis is funny. I once watched a little girl who, from the story she told me, got bored of her mom talking to someone she ran into at the store and decided to load up on brownie box mixes. I think she put two or three in the cart. :) When mom got home and found the mixes, she was a bit surprised. ;)
ReplyDeleteBut hey! At least Gigi put coffee in the cart rather than something for herself (unless it was actually her putting the cookies in the cart). I love that she thinks by her next birthday she'll be doing the laundry! You should her to that! ;)
LOL. She actually does help with laundry. She also does dishes, vacuums, cleans... She is basically willing to help in every way, except for picking up her own toys. LOL
