Barefoot with You #PoetryCollaboration

Welcome to June's poetry collaboration!! Each month, a group of bloggers get together, choose a theme, and each write a poem(s) for the theme. They can be any type of poetry. This month's theme is Barefoot Day! I don't know about you, but I love to be barefoot. I am sure it is not the best for my feet, and I do try to limit my barefoot time outside. However, I am just happiest with nothing on my feet, or maybe just flip flops or socks. My toes enjoy freedom!!

I hope you enjoy what I have created for y'all. Be sure to check out everyone else's poems. I will post links at the end. I will see you there, after I get a refill. This is one of my most favorite posts of the month.

Poem 1: Barefoot

Breeze tickling my toes
Arch stretching, and relaxing.
Running in the green grass.
Enjoying the sunshine on my skin.
Feet feeling free.
Oily sunscreen moisturizing and protecting.
Ocean water cooling my down.
Toes enjoying their freedom.

Poem 2: Barefoot with You

Lazy weekend mornings, spent laying in bed.
Kissing, cuddling, and playing footsie.
Talking about this, that, and the other.
Not caring about time, as the minutes slip by.
Getting up only to eat or drink.
Falling happily back into bed.
Nose to nose, foot to foot.
Soaking in your presence.
Soaking up your adoration, returning it tenfold.
Holding your hand, exploring the lines on your palm.
Planning the future.
Reminiscing on the past.
Being fully engulfed by you.
I miss that.
I miss laying barefoot with you.

I hope you enjoyed them!! Here are the links for the other wonderful poetry posts:

  1. Both of your poems took me back to different points in my past. I love when poems can do that.
