I'm Gonna Need A Bigger Pool #FunnyFriday May 2016

Today’s post is this month’s Funny Friday, a regular feature published on the last Friday of every month. Funny Friday is a collaborative project. Each month one of the participants submits a picture, then we all write five captions or thoughts inspired by that month’s picture. Links to the other bloggers’ posts are below, click on them and see what they have come up with. I hope we bring a smile to your face as you start your holiday (in the US) weekend.

1.
Gigi: I'm going to need a bigger pool, Mom.

Me: What do you say?
Gigi: Please, Mommy?
Me: No.

2. This week on Adventures at the Park, The Tale of Buckethead.

3. Gigi to Chad: Ah, Dad! Why did I have to get your huge head!
Chad: My head isn't THAT big.
Me: ....
Gigi: ....
Chad: It's all these brains I have.
Me: *dies laughing*

4. Gigi: Look, Mom! No hands!

5. Gigi would soon perfect her bobbing for worms technique!!!
(True story.... one of her favorite activities at the park is looking for worms, and I bet she probably would bob for worms!!)

6 bonus. Gigi: What? You said I couldn't go swimming in the pool. You didn't say anything about no swimming in the bucket, Mom. The loopholes are in the details, Ma!

I had help this week! Chad helped me come up with the captions!! Thank you, Chad!! :) I hope you all have a fabulous weekend, and hopefully I helped your week end with some laughter!!! For those of you in the United States... Happy Memorial Day!!! If you never hear from me again, I did not survive the Wounded Warriors 5k I am participating in on Sunday!!! For anyone who is a local, and interested... Here are the details for the Wounded Warrior 5k on May 29, 2016!!! I'll be the green haired lady finishing last!!! Say hello if you attend!!!

Mother Earth #UseYourWords

Welcome to July's Use Your Words post! This is how it works: participating bloggers picked four to six words or short phrases for someone else to craft into a post. All words must be used at least once and all the posts will be unique as each writer has received their own set of words. That is the challenge, here is a fun twist; no one who is participating knows who got their words and in what direction the writer will take them. Until now.

My words are: bat ~ environment ~ foreshadow ~ lonesome ~ oddly They were submitted by: http://theblogging911.com/blog
I am typing this on my new Chromebook. I got it dirt cheap on Amazon Prime Day. I am not trying to brag, but I am a fast typist, and make very few typos. However, In just these last few lines, I have made about a million typos. Change may be nice, but sometimes it takes a bit to get used to. Oy. So, please bear with me. Oddly, despite not liking change and fighting it as much as possible, I am actually excited about this change. Ho…

Best Served Cold #SecretSubjectSwap

Welcome to June's Secret Subject Swap. This week eleven brave bloggers picked a secret subject for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our posts.

My “Secret Subject” is: Tell us a revenge story, truth or fiction. It was submitted by: Jenniy ofhttp://climaxedtheblog.blogspot.com (Thank you for such an awesome topic!!)

Revenge is a dish best served cold. That is how it goes, right? They also say revenge is sweet. Cold and sweet. Sounds like sorbet or ice cream. Sounds yummy and sticky. When I read this prompt, I immediately thought of one story. It is really all I ever think of, when I think of revenge.

This really isn't my story to tell, but I know my friend won't mind me telling y'all, because I have asked permission many times over the years, and she always tells me I can. The she I am talking about, is my friend Opie. She is this amazing woman, who is one of m…

I kinda hate you though. I had two solid plans for this month's words (I NEVER have plans, and this month I had TWO plans), and neither could be applied to these words, so I had to strugggggllllleeeeee..... It's okay, after reconsidering our friendship, I decided I still love you!)
So, I read this month's words, and I immediately transported back t…
